‘A Welsh Dahl?’

Cardiff University will host a discussion examining the crucial place of Wales in the imagination of the writer known as ‘the world’s number one storyteller for children’, Roald Dahl (1916-90). As Cardiff celebrates the centenary of his birth in 2016, this special event will untangle Dahl’s complex relationship with the city and Welsh culture, language and history. Contributors to the forthcoming University of Wales Press publication Roald Dahl, Writing, Wales will join the editor Damian Walford Davies in this lively exchange.
