Judith Kerr and Michael Morpurgo in conversation at The Story Museum, Oxford

When: 11:00am Sunday 12th June 2016

Judith Kerr and Michael Morpurgo in conversation

Judith Kerr and Michael Morpurgo have delighted, enthralled and inspired generations of children with their bestselling novels, which include classics such as The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Mog the Forgetful Cat as well as War Horse and The Butterfly Lion respectively. But why is it that animals continue to be such an important feature in children’s stories?

In this very special event, Kerr and Morpurgo will discuss the role of animals in literature with Nicolette Jones (Sunday Times children’s literary editor) as well as sharing thoughts on how animals have influenced their own writing. This is a unique opportunity to hear two giants of children’s literature talk about their work, their influences and why animals play such an important part in their stories.
