Tom Palmer’s ‘Tour de Leeds Libraries’

tour-de-leedsAs Tour de France fever grips the country, Tom Palmer is returning to his roots to celebrate the libraries of Leeds and the historic role the city will play in the race this summer.

Just as the Grand Départ will set off from the city this summer, so Tom will be setting off from Leeds railway station every morning of his tour to cycle to all Leeds’ libraries.  He will be visiting up to four libraries a day to talk to children about the impact libraries have had on him and to share a specially-written story about the importance of libraries.

The venture has the support of Otley-born Silver Olympic cyclist Lizzie Armitstead, who has completed her own ‘Reading Chat’ poster.
